In recent times, there has been a lot of talk about entrepreneurship, however, a factor of great relevance cannot go unnoticed by those seeking to undertake in the most varied sectors of the market: environmental licensing.
Although many people are unaware of this, environmental licensing is an administrative process that aims to obtain environmental licenses and constitutes a necessary step for the location, construction, installation, expansion, recovery, modification and operation of enterprises and activities that use environmental resources that are considered to be effectively or potentially polluting.
The environmental license is an instrument through which the Public Authority exercises its regulatory power, seeking to guarantee the protection of the environment, with a view to ensuring the right to an ecologically balanced environment, as determined by the Federal Constitution.
During the licensing process, the responsible environmental agency analyzes the environmental risks that the project or activity may pose, and may even require the entrepreneur to comply with certain requirements or conditions for carrying out the intended activity. In this case, it is important to be careful, as some requirements may be unreasonable and disproportionate to the reality of the project, requiring the intervention of a specialist to identify viable alternatives and to better manage the matter.
Furthermore, the absence of an environmental license can cause serious problems for the entrepreneur, from the application of fines to the embargo of works or activities, which can have repercussions far beyond the administrative sphere, generating financial impacts and even to the image of the enterprise.
Therefore, before starting your project, it is essential to consult a specialist, who will use the best strategies to ensure that your business complies with environmental legislation and can operate in a safe and sustainable manner.
